iROP_HD app for iPhone and iPad

A corrected gestational age calculator designed for trainees and healthcare providers involved in the care of premature neonates.

The App consists of:
-A corrected gestational age calculator the algorithm calculates the date interval from the current date to a date of birth selected by the user. Including conceptional age.
-Due date calculator.
- A consent feature in which the user can upload images on the background and draw on the image as a method of consenting parents for ophthalmic procedures or explaining clinical conditions. Double tap the background to erase the drawing.
-A summary of the major clinical trials in retinopathy of prematurity.
-A few example cases of ROP and a case of optic nerve hypoplasia. Further cases will be added to this library in future updates.

Dr Anmar Abdul-Rahman is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, Medical Retina and Glaucoma Sub-specialist at Counties Manukau DHB, Auckland, New Zealand. He is also an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Otago.
